All Petit Hotel member hotels are at a pleasant travel distance from one another. They are always amidst culture. Sweden has many faces, many of which are well known and others less familiar. They can be the beech forests of Skåne, the manor houses of Småland, Selma Lagerlöf’s Mårbacka, Göta Canal, the fishermen’s cabins along the west coast, floral folk motifs, fiddling, or even salmon fishing in the rivers of Norrland. A journey in the Swedish countryside leaves many wonderful and happy memories.
Savonlinna in eastern Finland is also a cultural centre. It boasts a fabulous opera ensemble and opera festival. The festival takes place throughout the month of July. The natural landscape with all its lakes is, of course, a part of the experience in this area. A cruise on one of the White Ships is a wonderful way to enjoy a sunny summer day while admiring the landscape.
