Teleborgs Slott

Växjö in Småland

The Teleborgs Slott castle was a wedding gift from an earl, the wealthy and slightly eccentric Fredrik Bonde af Björnö, to his young bride Anna Koskull. Two Scanian architects were tasked with scrupulously following the earl’s precise instructions. The most talented stucco workers and decorative painters in the country were engaged. Stoves were brought in from Gothenburg and wrought iron work came from Copenhagen. The castle was completed in 1900.

The exterior of the castle remains basically unchanged. It is a real eye-catcher all four seasons of the year as it lies nestled among the spring greenery of beech and linden trees, cheerful summer azaleas and rhododendrons, the glowing colours of autumn and glittery snow crystals on cold winter days. The castle’s park is a solace for the soul all year round and the perfect place for stretching your legs during conferences.

The castle and gate-keeper’s lodge house a total of 23 rooms – 16 double rooms and 7 single rooms.

Meals at the castle can easily become a spectacle for the eye and palette alike. The beautiful furniture and table settings are perfect for everything from conference lunches and official dinners to wedding festivities.
